Magefesa stainless steel cookware is made from high-quality, long-lasting materials that provide excellent performance in the kitchen. To keep your Activa2 Pressure Cooker in the best condition, follow these care recommendations:
18/10 Stainless Steel: This alloy is highly resistant to physical wear and most chemicals, ensuring durability and reliability.
Dishwasher Safe but Not Recommended: Although the Activa2 is dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing to preserve its original finish. Some dishwasher detergents may contain corrosive agents, and the vibrations and friction of the washing process can reduce the natural shine over time.
Daily Cleaning: After use, wash with warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge. Dry immediately with a soft cloth or paper towel to prevent limescale spots.
Removing Stains or Discoloration: Overheating may cause temporary stains. To restore shine or remove lime buildup, boil a solution of 4 parts water and 1 part vinegar for 4–5 minutes, then wash with hot soapy water as usual.
Food Residues: Do not use sharp utensils that may scratch the base. For stubborn residues, repeat the vinegar method, extending the time if necessary.
Storage and Use: Do not use the cooker for food storage. Prolonged contact with acids and salts may damage the protective layer and cause corrosion. Always store with the lid upside down to prevent odors.
Avoid Harsh Products: Never use bleach, acids, oven cleaners, or corrosive agents, as they will damage the stainless steel. Avoid metal scouring pads to maintain shine.
