Lentil stew

  • 400 gr. Lentils (pardina variety).
  • 100 gr. Spicy pork sausage.
  • 75 gr. Bacon.
  • 1 Small onion.
  • 1 Carrot.
  • 1 Green pepper.
  • 1/2 Red pepper.
  • 2 Garlic cloves.
  • Mild olive oil.
  • Paprika.
  • Salt.

Leave lentils to soak for at least 8 hours. At the time of cooking, drain well. Set the lentils in a Magefesa fast pressure cooker and add the sliced spicy pork sausage and bacon. We continue to incorporate the onion, carrots and peppers. If we have a steamer basket, coarsely dice them and set into the basket. If we do not have a steamer basket, do not cut vegetables.
Cover the whole with water or stock enough to exceed two or three fingers over the ingredients and season to taste. Close the unit and increase temperature to a maximum level, wait until the working valve starts to release steam or rotate, depending on the model of the pressure cooker used. At this very moment, reduce heat level intensity to the required minimum to keep internal pressure or until the working valve turns slowly and uniformly. Start to count time, between 10 and 12 minutes.
