Keeping your STAR Rapid Pressure Cooker clean and properly maintained will help ensure long-lasting performance and safe everyday cooking. After each use, allow the cooker to cool completely before cleaning all parts thoroughly.
Wash the pot body, lid, and stainless steel steamer basket using warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers that may damage the surface finish. Food residue can usually be removed easily thanks to the smooth stainless steel interior.
The silicone sealing ring should be removed periodically and cleaned separately to maintain proper pressure performance and hygiene. Make sure the pressure valve and steam release areas remain clean and free from food particles after cooking.
