Fruit skewers with hot chocolate sauce


  • 2 Kiwis
  • 8 Strawberries
  • 2 Mangoes
  • ½  Watermelon
  • ½ Cantaloupe
  • 2 Oranges
  • Brown Sugar
  • Aged rum
  • 8 Skewers (wood or metal skewer)
  • 7 oz Dark chocolate frosting

Peel the fruits with skin. Cut all the fruits into 1 inch pieces. Let the fruit marinade in the rum and the orange juice for a few hours prior. Insert fruit pieces on the skewers alternating colors to make them more appealing. Sprinkle with sugar and caramelized with a torch or a salamander. Serve along with melted dark chocolate. Chocolate can be melted in the microwave. However, we must pay attention not to overheat it. Heat for a few seconds, stir, then heat it again for further few seconds until chocolate has melted completely. We can also use the fondue to heat the chocolate and dip the fruit skewers in it.
