Butter cookies

  • 250 gr. Room temperature butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Yolk
  • 450 gr. Flour
  • 160 gr. Sugar
  • Vanilla essence

Preheat the oven to 374ºF. Stir the butter together with the sugar and vanilla essence to taste. We can be helped by a Magefesa Bowl Mixer.  Add the egg and the yolk and continue mixing.
Add the sifted flour, keep it away when a scoop is formed and continue mixing on the table until well removed from your hands. Leave it resting for 45 min. in the fridge. Spread the dough with the help of a rolling pin until getting approximately 5mm thickness. If we have pastry cutters, cut different shapes, if we do not have moulds, we can make triangles, squares, rhombus, etc. Place them in an oven plate covered with non stick baking paper. Bake it to 347-356ºC for 10 or 12 min. or until browned to taste. Leave it cooling on the plate and after that place them on a rack and let them completely cool.
Serve with powdered sugar.
