Each of the pieces of the FERRO line is a basic and timeless utensil in any kitchen. Due to their composition, they are compact and versatile pieces that provide excellent cooking results.
These pieces are suitable for all types of heat sources as well as being suitable for use in the oven, refrigerator and freezer.
The component of FERRO pieces is cast or cast iron, a material that, by containing a higher percentage of carbon, offers great resistance, durability and retention in addition to uniform heat distribution. Its robustness and heat conservation have been the reason for its use in traditional cuisine, the basis from which other types of cuisine emerge.
The way of cooking with cast iron cookware can be adapted to different cooking styles, different preparations and different cooking methods. The retention of heat and the uniformity of its distribution without overheating points will allow you, with equal effectiveness, to cook stir-fries and browning over high heat as well as stews over low heat.
With each of our FERRO models, you will achieve the best results by cooking at medium temperature and lowering the heat once the correct temperature of the surface of the piece and the ingredients used in the preparation of your recipe is reached.
The composition of the cast iron utensils allows cooking over minimum heat, achieving greater energy savings while preserving the nutritional values, aromas and juiciness of all the ingredients.
The products of the FERRO line also make it possible to preserve cold food in the refrigerator, keeping it that way if you want to serve it cold on the table, or even in the freezer if you need to preserve food that has been prepared in advance.
The enamel coating of each piece is resistant, durable and hygienic.
The interior and exterior surface does not absorb moisture, flavors or odors from food.
Cleaning and maintenance
To keep your FERRO piece in perfect condition for use and conservation, follow the following tips:
After use, let the piece cool before cleaning it.
If possible, rinse the container and lid thoroughly with hot water and dry with a cloth. If a deeper cleaning is required, use hot water and dish soap, then rinse and dry any remaining water and moisture.
It may be possible that food remains remain that are difficult to remove. In this case, when the piece has not cooled completely, fill it with warm water and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Then use a dishwashing brush or a suitable sponge, rinse well and dry. Do not use scouring pads or abrasive detergents (even diluted in water).
The FERRO line utensils are suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher, although this type of washing will reduce the formation of the aforementioned patina. Dry the piece with a soft cloth after washing in the dishwasher.
Good use and proper maintenance of your FERRO line piece will guarantee the durability and quality of its performance for many years thanks to the durable nature of cast iron and the resistance of the additional enamelling.
