MAGEFESA stainless steel cookware is made from high-quality, long-lasting materials and offers many benefits when cooking.
We highly recommend following the simple guidelines below for cleaning and maintenance to extend the life of your MAGEFESA stainless steel products.
Remove the label stickers before first use. Label stickers can be easily removed from your cookware by lifting one corner with a non-metallic utensil and scraping off any residue. Rubbing alcohol also works well to remove leftover adhesive.
Wash the cookware before use with warm water, mild soap, and a non-abrasive cleaning pad or sponge.
For frying pans and sauté pans, heat oil over low heat for a couple of minutes, then remove the oil and wash again.
For pots, fill them with water up to their capacity and boil for 20 to 30 minutes, then discard the water and wash again.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a cloth or paper towel to prevent limescale formation and maintain a shiny surface.
Most Magefesa stainless steel cookware includes a thermal diffuser base, which ensures even heat distribution. This helps preserve the nutritional value of food and prevents damage to the cookware surface.
Choose a stovetop burner that does not exceed the size of the pan’s base, especially when using gas hobs. This will improve cooking results and make cleaning easier.
Do not use metal utensils on nonstick coatings, as this can cause scratches and reduce the coating’s effectiveness. Always use wooden, silicone, or polyethylene utensils to prolong the life of the nonstick surface.
Never chop or cut food directly on your stainless steel pots or frying pans.
18/10 stainless steel is an alloy highly resistant to physical wear and most chemicals. Although MAGEFESA stainless steel products are dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing to preserve the finish.
Some dishwashing detergents contain corrosive chemicals that may damage cookware finishes. Due to the variety of detergents on the market, we cannot guarantee that all are safe for use with our products.
Vibrations and friction during dishwasher cycles may eventually dull the cookware’s original shine.
After use, wash cookware with warm water, mild soap, and a soft sponge.
Stains can appear if cookware is overheated. To restore discolored stainless steel to its original shine or remove lime buildup, boil a mixture of 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar for 4 to 5 minutes. Then wash the pot with hot, soapy water as usual.
For stubborn food residues, avoid sharp utensils that can scratch the surface. Use the vinegar boiling method again, increasing the time if necessary.
Do not use cookware for food storage. Prolonged contact with acidic or salty foods can damage the stainless steel’s protective layer and cause corrosion.
After washing, dry each piece immediately with a cloth or paper towel to prevent limescale formation.
Avoid corrosive cleaners such as bleach, acids, oven cleaners, or etching agents, as they will damage the nonstick coating and dull the finish.
Avoid metal scouring pads to keep your cookware looking shiny.
Store your cookware carefully; place lids upside down when storing to prevent odors from developing.
