Cut the tails lengthwise with a large knife. In a bowl, mix thoroughly all the other ingredients except butter and basil. Brush lobster tails with the marinade. Set grill to medium-high heat. Place lobster tails meat side down and grill for about 5 minutes. Turn over lobster and cook the other side for another 5 minutes, basting several times with the remaining marinade until lobster is opaque and firm to the touch. Make sure not to overcook. Add chopped basil to melted butter and mix well. Serve immediately, accompanied by the basil butter in ramekins on the side.
